TheCamp Team

TheCamp is… José Boily as he realizes his lifelong dream to capture his love of hunting and fishing on film. An honours graduate from the school of waterfowl hunting, José learned to use all manner of calls and firearms while also studying teaching at Université Laval and Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.

TheCamp is… Fréderic Laroche, who hunts the splendour of nature with a camera. An editing whiz and all-terrain cameraman, “Frits” honed his talents at Université Laval and on the ski slopes around Quebec City. With his bachelor’s degree in film and communication, he is responsible for the quality of the finished product and works in close cooperation with our broadcasters. His artistic judgment is invaluable for all TheCamp productions.

TheCamp is… Joël Tremblay, armed with a tripod and loaded down with cameras on the hunt for that perfect shot. Specializing in industrial mechanics, Joël is our “Mr. Fix-It” in the field. And in the editing room, his sharp eye helps ensure the quality of our shows.

TheCamp is… Martin Gravel, the brains behind the first full incarnation of TheCamp productions. Martin holds a degree in administration from Université Laval and guides Québec à vol d’oiseau (QVO) with a masterful touch. His leadership drives everyone to give their all show after show, and his focus on detail sets the standard for the entire production team.

TheCamp is… Marie-Claude Dussault, who draws on her studies in marketing to excel in the PR tasks the field team is too busy to tackle.

TheCamp is… William Demers, who has joined the production team after a stint filming snowboard videos. Used to winter shooting, he captures striking images regardless of the conditions. During post-production, his editing savvy is a definite asset for the entire team.

TheCamp is… Charles Demers, William’s younger brother, who uses his trusty Panasonic and tripod to take clear and flowing shots. A recent graduate in film and television production, he has a young, meticulous style that shows through in his work.

TheCamp is… Martin Leblanc and his tireless efforts to secure our financial backing. With his background in marketing, he writes the contracts for the show’s partners. His hard work and network of contacts are key to the show’s financial survival.

TheCamp is… chartered accountant Pascal Vézina, who manages the show’s finances and crunches numbers for breakfast. Through his efforts, TheCamp has qualified for provincial and federal tax credits that help the show’s bottom line.

TheCamp is… our families, parents, friends and Gravel Agency partners.
